One of the things that could have made this film worse than it was is if they had cast Jack McBrayer in any of the parts.

Disagree. Paul Feig inserted into every scene could have made it worse.
Considering how weak he made all of the male characters though, he might as well have just played every part himself and cashed in on more paychecks.
