Not Scary ... Not particularly gory ... And NO FUN !!!

And why is that ... The Actors ( ? ) ... Obviously this lot just flopped out of some hideous soap ... One blonde one is so superfluous that she has 3 lines and is obviously just there to die ... After which she still does very little ... They are just characterless ... The original was hardly high on character building but each of them brought their own characters to the part and threw themselves into it completely ... Bruce Campbell was a great lead character ... The innocuous little nobody in this that plays the main lead I couldn't even be bothered to look up ... Forgotten already ... So CASTING ... CRAP
Writing ... Can't even remember a line of the dialogue ... So lets say totally pointless
Direction ... Some seriously bad copies of the original inventive camera moves ( how can they do this worse with a budget !!!!! ) ... Pretty static and flat all round ... Why did this guy get to direct ?
THE GORE ... The original is gorier and more gross in a daft way ... This was pretty feeble ... Their is a lot of blood rain but so what
At the 70 minute mark it completely looses it when the lead male does something so pathetically stupid you want to leave the cinema ... Just totally inexcusable ... After that they obviously had no idea where to take it and its GLARINGLY obvious
The End ... Well there isn't one really
Best part is before the opening credits where it actually showed potential ... Once the main characters are introduced forget it
Watch the original ... Its still more scarey and fun than this, though we are all going to watch it once ... But I saw it yesterday and quite frankly it is already disappearing from my memory
Watch again ? ... No

Its pathetic really how they are trying to hype this up as good and scary and gorey ... When it is actually dull and boring and badly directed soap opera pap ... Burn Hollywood Burn ... This is rubbish and now everyone can see how bad it is :)) ... Hopeless

Please don't insult all old people due to her grouchiness. Those Old hags/men also produce and direct the films we watch, make our phones, computers, televisions etc. I am grateful to the old for all the have provided us with.

:))) Yeah .... We shouldn't give that away though and spoil it for the people who are going to watch it ... Poor suckers ... Do something useful ... Plants a tree or something in the garden ... Cos this is a total waste of time
Watch the original and have a couple of beers and friends round ... MUCH MORE FUN

Is it really that bad?? I love the original. The trailer looks good. But it looks pretty humourless and not entertaining or smart enough. I mean, I could name at least 20 different scenes in the original which made me say 'That's cool!', such as the vinyl player scene, Linda's cackling (SHUT UP LINDA!!) scenes, Scotty's antics and wise cracks e.g. 'PARTY DOWN!', the pencil in the ankle scene, the tree rape scene. The original is the best. The remake also looks too grey. I don't like grey! I like colour. LOTS OF COLOUR, atmosphere and contrast or mood and character. This is a very one dimensional movie which lacks in imagination and spookyness. Blatant horror, screams, nastiness and gore is just not enough. Boring.

lol I was just going to post a new thread but there's so plenty of them sayins that the movie is not scary that I won't bother, just say that, well, it isn't scary.

A scary movie is not CGI Zombie ! I was fooled by the ratings and the "The most terrifying film you will ever experience" tagline..

This movie don't have any atmosphere and feels "dull" and plastic made from start to the end... I guess creativity in horror movies is still smothing very rare...

I think its just all the jobs in hoollywooood are going to the offspring of the clueless producers or cheap video and commercial directors ... And lets not talk about writers !!! ... Diablo Cody ... Why ? ... What an obvious waste of space

Even if they ditched Cody, we would still be stuck with Alvarez en Fernandez or Cheech & Chong...whatever they smoked, it didn't turn out well on screen.

It was a great sleep aid for those of us who don't want to take Ny Quil. Evil Dead 2013 was just that boring. Not kidding
