Eh. I would've agreed with you two or three years ago (minus the gross "hollywood jews" bit) but having Ash Vs. The Evil Dead in my life leaves me more than satiated.

NO, the producers was looking to make close to $250 million on it. It fails that mark and a sequel was never really considered. There was a script being passed around but it was deemed to weak and no new news in regards to a sequel is on the way.
