Was surprised at how much better it was than I thought it was going to be. Some flat characters though and deaths happened too quickly.

I don't get it though because it says the demon must devour 5 souls to be revived. Well, the main guy killed his sister at the end, so wouldn't that have reset the death count? Otherwise wouldn't all of the previous souls consumed, such as the girl at the very beginning, who also killed her mother, have added up?

Oh, and the final demon that was summoned at the end was a weak final boss. I mean the other deadites were just as powerful if not more so than him, and he's supposed to be like a super demon right? Other than that, pretty good 7/10

They really messed up with the new book and its rules.

i feel like the idea was that the evil still persisted through eric even though mia had been buried alive and purged of the possession- so the 'death count' was not reset. and i feel like maybe the dog was the fifth soul? so olivia, the blonde girl, eric, david and the dog? since mia's soul technically doesn't get consumed, whereas all these other characters were full on like murdered.
