It's an excellent remaquel.

We made a land where crap is king, and the good don't last too long.

I thought it was good. Not great, not terrible. Just good. Movies from the '60s, '70s, and '80s are closest to my heart so I knew I wouldn't like it as much as the original but for what it is it isn't bad at all.

I absolutely love it – my favorite horror movie of the decade. The direction, the cinematography, and the musical score are flawless.
