Could have been the best SG

Except for that gamer. Didn't really think the origin of his character needed to be such. Was sort of out of place and people don't go from playing video games to solving time travel physics. Could have just replaced him with a young team member. He caused me to give up early on the series a couple of times before i just decided to see if would get killed off or something.

The quest to search for the pre big-bang signature would have made this epic as well as learning more about the ancients.

After 15 seasons of SG1 and Atlantic this would have brought closure to the series.

Loved the darker tone of the series.

I actually liked Eli

he seemed like the guy viewers would gravitate towards and relate to

Let's be honest, how many SCI FI fans are gamers? I'm willing to bet it's quite high

You understand he didn't go from being a gamer to being a physics genius right? The whole point of the game was to solve a complex physics equation and the person who solved it was obviously mathematically qualified for the job. Nobody but him playing could solve it.

Not the first time a company has embedded a problem in a game for people to solve. Yes its a real life scenario.

He was an MIT drop out - so they did establish his intelligence from the beginning. Also Rush says I'll never be the genius that big kid is.

The ral reason for his character was to be the opposite of Rush who was a right jerk. Eli only wanted to please people so they'd like him.
