Best characters?

I know this show has been "dead" for a few years by now, but I've just recently started watching it on Netflix so for me it's all new, and so far I like it a lot.

The show's biggest strength is several interesting characters IMO, and I'm wondering who your favourites are, or who you consider the best written characters on the show? And why?

Personally I find Col. Young and Dr. Rush to be the two most well written characters on the show, and they work excellently as each other's counter parts to create tension and conflict, however if I'm to name my personal favourites, those will be:

Rush, because he's such a complex character and has such a sympathetic back story. I do not agree with all of his actions and decisions, however I understand him most of the time, and whatever he does, he does it for the mission and/or the people on board Destiny.

Eli, who is quite a simple character IMO, but has a charm and fuzziness and delivers a lot of quite funny lines. He can be a bit annoying at times, but for some reason I just like him.

T.J. is a character I cannot really give specific reasons why I like. I just do. She's kind, compassionate, and strong.

My top 2 favorites are Rush and Greer.

I'd tie them both for 1st, but if I had to pick one it'd be Rush.

Everything about both characters is great.

Yes, Rush and Young are probably the best written ones, along with maybe Greer.

But Louis and Carlyle also have pretty good chemistry themselves, which makes them so good at portraying their characters and acting the conflict.

Scott is also an interesting character. He basically acts like the morale compass and it basically the one who keeps the entire crew together.

Just started watching this show as well. It pretty damn good. Never got into it during its original run because I thought it was too much of a departure from the Stargate shows I was familiar with.

Anyways, after finishing the bluray seadon 1.5, my favourite character so far is Rush. Even though he is not in command, he is the brain trust. I feel he carries a tremendous burden, as great, if not greater, than Young.
