The show was ridiculous but the stones were preposterous.

So they had these stones and yet whenever a medical crisis occurred, they never bothered to switch places with a doctor or surgeon. The show went out of its way to talk about how these people "weren't the right people for the job" and yet the stones weren't used to educate those people so that they COULD do the job. Instead the stones were used to allow people to have time at home? Just one of the many things that made this show utterly preposterous.

In "Divided" they brought in Doctor Brightman (a minor Sg-1 character) to remove the alien tracking device from Rush's chest but they were experiencing problems maintaining the connection while in battle.

In "Intervention" a whole team of doctors (including Brightman) was brought on to treat the Lucian Alliance's wounded.

Some folks just like to whine without ever watching shows. This one makes me wonder if they like anything in life...LOL 

The ridiculous thing about the stones is that they are able to transfer consciousness hundreds if not thousands of billions of light years away in real time, and without any sort of delay or lag. And not just consciousness, but a persons memories, skills, abilities, even feeling and touch as well.

I don't think they should have ever been introduced in the show, and at the very least--should NOT have even been in the show until a later season. Having them in the first or second episode putting them in contact with earth again so quickly takes away from the premise.
