I seriously love this show. I'm a hard core SG fan. SG1 came out when I was 11 and I was hooked from the first episode. I grew up with Stargate and it grew up with me into SGU. It was like my prize for being a long time fan. I loved that they stripped back the premise of SG1 & Atlantis & focused on the characters.The actors were amazing and the directing was perfection. This show really made me appreciate the talent of Brad Wright & Robert Cooper.
shareI could take or leave both SG1 and SGA. They were generally very pulpy monster of the week with lots of knowledge of what "fans" wanted to see week in week out. Especially SGA where the cast in many ways were a copy of the original SG1.
I am currently binge watching SGU on netflix and am enjoying it even more.
The quality of the cast really shines through and the characters are far more complex than they were allowed to be in the original series.
Its a shame we never got a closing series...
Caprica/SGU/Firefly/Farscape/TSCC - Sometimes I wonder why I bother
