Man, that sucked...

I'm pretty forgiving with horror movies, but that was some serious crap....

Especially when they blatantly ripped off the Texas Chainsaw Massacre....

reply

OMG!! I notice that to!! How dare them steal that famous scene from Texas chainsaw!!

reply

I have no idea what they ripped off from TCM, but maybe it was an homage?

When the girl jumped in the trunk in the end while the killer chasing her is the ending to the tcm when sally ran on the road to ask for help and the car stopped and she jumped in while keatherfave chased her

very fitting, considering that in a way the first installment was for the most part a bad copy of the french movie "ils". Especially the ending.

reply

But it was way worse than "ils". I hated The Strangers. Complete lack of suspense due to the omnipresent Killers.

reply

i hated "the strangers" as well and i absolutey looooooove "ils". i was just saying that i am not surprised that the writers would steal from yet another film, if the first installment was already a copy of someone else's movie. ;)

"Complete lack of suspense due to the omnipresent Killers."

not only that. the first scene in the restaurant was completely unnecessary, the behavior of the couple was utterly illogical, the chick was annoying as hell, the attackers seemed to have superpowers ... etc etc etc. an utter waste.

With a few tweaks I think this could've been pretty good. The characters were just all so stupid though and made this one a thumbs down.

There were a couple good scenes though and a s a child of the 80s I loved the music in it.
