It's happens to actors and actresses. It's no wonder, I would go crazy to if the whole world watched me from age 6 onwards....waiting for me to make a mistake and then pulling me apart when I do. Yeah I would go crazy.

shareYes it is. It's something she didn't ask for and can't help. But not all former child actors who go off the deep end are clinically mentally ill. Many just can't handle the rejection when they aren't that cute little kid anymore and the offers stop coming. Few child actors go on to have similar success as adults, but they're used to being pampered and told how "special" they are from an early age, and when that stops, they can't deal with it, so they turn to drugs and alcohol to compensate. It doesn't happen to all of them, to be sure, but it happens to far too many.
