Tucci and Clarkson are great!

This movie is just so-so but the Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson scenes are worth watching over and over. Malcolm McDowell isn't bad either. Great character actors add so much to a movie even if they're on screen for a short time.

Yes! I love the scene where they're trying to guess the cuss word. t t t t t t t. Good stuff, had to watch it repeatedly. Not just for them but I loved Emma in that scene too - she's so cute!

I was just about to post the same thing. They are brilliant. I really love the scene where Clarkson is talking to Emma in her bedroom, their comedic chemistry is just perfect.

they had such great chemistry, i wish they were more in the film

They had great chemistry, almost like a real life married couple. They were clearly overcompensating characters, but still entertaining.

I have never seen a movie Stanley Tucci is in where I did not like him - he is an amazing actor! I was especially surprised when I found out he was the bad guy in The Lovely Bones - Didn't recognize him at first, but as with all his movies he did a wonderful job!

I hated their characters.

Looks bobbins.

Same here. They tried way, way too hard - both in the writing and in the performances.

It's a pity their characters are barely seen in the second half of the film IMO. They're a real bonus.

If you like them, and liked them together, you should check out Blind Date, directed by Tucci. They play a couple who roleplays through various blind dates situations for a reason you learn later in the movie. They are amazing.

Warning: it is not a comedy.

They met when they were on Murder One (Tucci was amazing in that show but they never had a scene together) and I think their friendship really helps them create on-screen chemistry. And of course, they are both terrific character actors, and stage actors.
