LOVED it!

I saw this at the Tribeca Film Festival today, and I really enjoyed it. It is the definition of black comedy, devastating things going on all around but I still laughed my butt off, especially towards the end. The whole cast was fantastic but especially Thomas Hayden Church and Elizabeth Shue. I was so impressed. I enjoyed this film so much. I work with the festival and was able to chat with Thomas Hayden Church after the screening and he's a really cool guy too. Do see this if you get the opportunity. I hope when it's released it will have a good run because it's fantastic.

Agreed. It starts off with a serious tone, and you're wondering where it's going. Then about 15 mins in it just takes off and doesn't stop until the credits roll. Funny humor and an interesting plot line all around.

I love when film makers combine my 2 of my favorite genres (black comedy and film noir), and this is a great example if it being done WELL.

I hope this gets the recognition it deserves, as it's better than 95% of the crap coming to the big screen.

This movie sucked. There's worse out there, sure, but after watching I felt like "wtf was the point of watching this?".

reply

Fair enough, not everyone has to like this movie. But would you care to be more specific about what was bad about it?

In my opinion it moved along at a good pace, had decent acting, an interesting plot and well thought out plot turns, and some flat out GREAT dark comedy.

I mean, in theory you could ask what the point of watching ANY movie is and make it seem useless, right?
