AppleTV+ has turned out some pretty good stuff since it started up.
Echo 3 is not one of them.
If cliches had mass the weight of the many ridiculous cliches in Echo 3 would drag it to the center of the Earth.
But, I have to admit it if filmed beautifully, and the cuts and edits are smooth as glass.
But the story and the characters are right out of Unit, or some other stereotyped military show.
I agree.
It lost my respect after they went into the bario to try and save the Sis. Like how many things had to go right for them not to have gotten killed. It was deserted, so they could conveniently advance and retreat at will.
I dumped it after ep 3.
The worst thing is that in the last episode they are escaping after a firefight in the middle of a giant Colombian market where everyone just sits there and there are scores of soldiers stalking them to kill all of them, and then they do not resolve it - hoping to get a second season.
Or maybe the worst thing is that the toughest, meanest, nastiest, fightingest dude on the show is called Bambi. ;-)
