I think Cid is being seeded by an infinite amount of Abe(s). If we're privy to the millionth iteration, than it makes sense that Cid has tapped into this stream somehow, perhaps dreams.

Yes, it's sad that the message boards are closing. But I doubt it is due to trolls. It is due to controlling the message. We get in the way of the hype and the propaganda.
In regards to Looper:
Abe is sent back with a list of names of who to recruit. How these names were picked, who knows?
It seems Joe is a wild card. Does he end up with Abe all the time? Maybe in some loops, Abe doesn't find him.
The two constants in any of these loops is that there is always a Rainmaker and Joe always dies.
I wouldn't be surprised if this all happens because Cid is trying to save Joe. To get that happy family dream that Cid always wanted and is always out of reach. And he'll destroy whole groups of people to get it.
Interesting theories. I find it improbable to send Abe() back with a list of names. Rather, I think the names are entirely unimportant--made evident to me once it's confirmed that OLD SETH came back with all his limbs intact.
See, the Mutilation Contingency wasn't new. It was well-oiled, handed down to new Abe(s) before they even make their trip back to run middle-management. And if we go by the premise of this being the millionth iteration (shorthand for "many many"), it is this Contingency itself that makes a case for names meaning little. For OLD SETH is chopped up and there is no YOUNG SETH to push forward in time. So just replace SETH in the chain and recruit a non-SETH with limbs.
Same with YOUNG JOE, New Young Abe would have all the data regarding JOE's Loopicide (perhaps not even the first instance of this) and could either take a chance on JOE() again later or simply supplant him...
Names matter not, only prescient data matters. And thus, Contingency.
