The title is laughable.
"The Bad Batch"... What happened? Did grandma burn the cookies?
shareI kinda like it. It doesn't trigger such domestic connections in my head.
shareIt immediately made me think of the western The Wild Bunch, and I'd actually be surprised to learn that title was NOT an inspiration.
shareI just think "Bad Batch" sounds... How would I put it? I guess "twee" is the word. "The Wild Bunch" sounds powerful, like a stored reserve of violence waiting to explode. "The Bad Batch" just sounds like grandma burned the cookies.
shareI thought it said bad bitch
shareBlame the writers from "Clone Wars" years ago, who came up with it.
Personally, I think it's a good title, it suggest "This isn't your weird unmarried uncle's Star Wars".
I haven't watched it yet. But in the CW CGI show they clearly established that there have been many "Bad Batches" of clones. Because they are made, and trained, in groups. When a group doesn't complete their training successfully, they are considered a "Bad Batch", and are made to be janitors or whatever. They are considered failures.
So this group is just ONE "Bad Batch".
