I'm playing the Race Card. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The young mutants have their fun, each showing their mutation and special talent (in a scene that was so cheesy I almost choked on my tsk sound making and angry sighs). Then Kevin Bacon shows up with his entourage. He is demanding that the young mutants choose sides. Perhaps I remember this wrong, but of the 6 or 7 young mutants, the two that join the 'bad guys' are of the darker skin tone, and of those who stay on 'the right side' all but perhaps one are caucasian. I do not mean to offend anyone with my choice of words. English is not my native language, and I'm not sure of the politically correct terminology. I saw the film recently and this particular scene struck me a little racist. Please, correct me if I remember this whole thing wrong or if I'm reading too much into it.

I didn't notice that, I don't think it was intentional. But I do wish they didn't kill Darwin, the mutant with the power to ADAPT.

Only Angel joined Shaw. Darwin was only pretending so he could get close to Angel to shield her from the attack from Alex.

Darwin was also the first to die. Cliché.

You're wrong and read too much into it

Magneto ends up a villain and is a Jew.
Is this movie antisemitic too?

The X-men are a series that revolves around racism. Human vs Mutant racism. People probably stopped caring about the black and brown people when the blue ones showed up.

reply

Firstly the bad guy is white and kevin bacon......so very white, he is the guy from footloose.

Only one person joins him in angel, Darwin who is black is the only guy who tries to fight him and dies as a hero. Geez that must be racist then, the bad guys rock up and the only guy who tries to be a hero is not white...those racist anti-white film makers.

reply

If anything, they made the black guy look the most heroic... OP is an idiot.
