"You never looked better, man"

At the airbase BEAST, revealed coming from the shadows, laments his serum didn't work. He feels worse as having actually (depending on POV) mutating himself further.

What I love about this scene is how accepting, supportive, and compassionate Mystique is and I just realized a connection:

I was originally going to just say how much I liked Erik's complimenting Hank on his newfound strength. At first (I am guessing many) some may have thought Erik was being facetious and mocking to which Hank immediately grabs Erik and could have choked him to death before Erik got a loose screw into the air. Playing it back you can clearly hear Erik is genuinely supportive of Hank---considering it a more true to form self.

It dawned on me as I started writing this post how it was Erik who reminded Mystique there should be no modesty in her appearance, about being who she is, and I love the line about (how one should never endeavor to) covering the stripes of a tiger. I love tigers you see.

The connection is Mystique's encouragement by Erik later led to her, or surely could have, being compassionate and supportive to Hank. I like that whole scene. Even our (in a light way) 'hater' Alex admits Hank looks pretty badass. I thought it was a good scene.

Erik's line earlier to Mystique about how if he looked like her he wouldn't change a thing is something I believe of the character.
