The Beast and Mystique designs

Anyone else notice how horrible Beast looked in this? He looked absolutely nothing like Kelsey Grammars version. In fact, he looked like an entirely different animal completely. The Beast in DOFP and Apocalypse looked right on the money as a younger version of Grammar's Beast. I loved First Class and all but they really did a crappy Beast job. On the contrary though, Mystique looked more like RRS's version of her with the thick scales all over her face and body. In DOFP and Apocalypse, her scales looked painted on and she didn't have nearly as much. Just a fun fact but did anyone else ever notice these things?

Beast's design in this is actually my favorite in the movies. I love how animalistic he looks. I think it looks like they only painted Grammer and Hoult (in DOFP and Apocalypse) with blue makeup and put fake teeth in, but I do see what you're saying. Hoult's later look is much closer to Grammer's, yeah.

Beast looked like total garbage (when he puts the glasses on ... ugh!). "First Class" was basically a rushjob and filmed under a tight-deadline. That's why some of the effects aren't so great.

I didn't mind Beast's look so much as how his character is a deus ex machina. Hell he designed EVERYTHING. Maybe it is true to the comic, I don't know or care. I'm judging based on the movie alone. It was like,

"Nice plane."
Beast: "I designed it."

"Cerebro...cool."
Beast: "I designed it."

"What, there's a mutant serum?"
Beast: "I designed it."

"Wow, this freeway is well-constructed, and allows for smooth traffic flow."
Beast: "I designed it."

I don't think that the Beast design[s] even remotely reminds me of Kelsey Grammar's Beast in any of these films, up to and including Xmen: Apocalypse. Funny how an older film from 2006 manages to look better regarding Beats than any of the newer efforts. X3's Beast was straight out of the comic books and perfect. They REALLY need to do something to start making Nicholas Hoult a believable younger version of Kelsey Grammer. I mean, we've made it to 1983 so far and I am not seeing it! 

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.

Beast and Mystique looked terrible in this. Jennifer Lawrence looks like a blue chipmunk with her prosthetics on. They literally laid it on very very thick.

In the first movies, Romijn was basically painted blue and had some light prosthetics. Lawrence was covered in very thick looking latex. I'm guessing it was for convenience but it looks lame.
