Nope, this wasn't great by any stretch. Oddly though,I never found myself hoping it would end. This might be a watch it only once or twice movie, but it's fine as a popcorn flick,and surprisingly well rounded enough to be a family film. This looks like Citizen Kane compared to the last few Transformer movies, so it's a huge step up from many other CGI messes.
shareI felt the same way about The Amazing Spider-Man 2. A really fun popcorn flick that has an abismal script. Therefore becoming a bad film IMO. Although my reasoning for having had fun with it has to do about me being biased towards it because Im a Spider-Man fanatic since I was 9 years old...
So my point being. The chances of you being a Venom fan are pretty large
See, i see all spider man movies (yes even the originals) as badly written popcorn flicks. They are fun to watch. Good they are not.
shareThis really was a fun, entertaining, and not very great film. Fun moments but certain parts are just too over the top to take seriously. Tom Hardy is what makes it worth watching.

shareYeah, reminds me of the good ol' 90s action flicks. You know, all those Van Damme movies, etc. They are bad movies with dumb scripts and inconsistencies, yet pretty entertaining.
shareI loved all of those movies from guys like Van Damme, Seagal and Snipes. Like you said, they can be a little dumb but theyre also a lot of fun!
