PG = Lost Interest

Anyone else feel the same?

reply

No. Although I prefer R rated (or unrated) films, the rating doesn't make a movie good or bad. I never could understand the people who whine about a films rating. Don't like PG-13 films? Then don't watch them, it's really that simple.

reply

PG-13? I saw this movie yesterday in the UK and it was rated 15!

The strange thing, it was rated 15 and yet there was practically no blood and gore, especially when Venom bit heads off bodies! The ironic thing is, the IT movie from last year was also rated 15 and yet that had disturbing scenes and gallons of blood and some gore, so I'm baffled by this decision by the BBFC. Maybe they thought the physical appearance of Venom himself was too frightening for 12A viewers?

reply

Isn't the BBFC really sensitive when it comes to head attacks? I've heard headbutts will instantly give a movie a higher rating. I remember hearing one of the Star Wars movies was censored over there to remove a headbutt.

Your country is weird with its ratings cause I have heard rated R movies in my home country America are rated 15 but so are some PG-13 movies. I've also heard they edit out some of the violence in said R rated movies. It's also funny since here in America you have to be 17 to see R rated movies at the theater or to buy/rent them.

In Australia our "PG 13" is M - for mature audiences, with the guideline of 'not recommended for children under 15 years'. Then we have MA, which is restricted to persons under 15 due to strong content. Deadpool was MA.

This was M. With the reasoning 'Science fiction themes, violence and coarse language'.

I think in this day and age, it will be seen by kids of all ages. It will give some nightmares, due to Venom's appearance, but otherwise it is harmless.

reply

Nobody gives a fck about Australia. Sorry bud. Just being honest.

reply

And you don’t seem to understand what pg13 means. It doesn’t mean it’s for 13 and below idiot.

reply

PG... PG13... Same thing.

reply

I saw it, and I had no idea it wasn't R. This was pretty brutal, and I didn't feel like it was lacking in any darkness or adult themes. If violence alone could get you R, it would be, but it can't, so it's not.

reply

Just saw it. Feels like it was missing something. Blood.
