Or as compared to John Belushi, Kurt Cobain, and the like, (not athletes)?
Seems like he has been plenty self destructive for any human being and there are plenty of examples of people who have been less so. He seems to get a big pass for endangering the lives of innocent people and indulging in some lurid activities he could have kept on the down low had he been a lot smarter.
Personally as a sports fan, I'm tired of the fascination and love this guy is currently experiencing. Haven't seen the doc, probably won't.

tell me. how bad it is that a rich, famous and extremely talented man is having sex with a lot of women. they're only whores because he's too famous to date. he doesnt have to be compared to anyone. lol "lurid". the internet world of people pretending to be good is not the same as the real world. there's nothing wrong with men sleeping around. it only became not ok for maybe 3 decades. it was ok for 4000 years of recorded human history. why is that?
the fascination is that he's the best golfer ever and everyone knows his foibles are nothing to worry about. nobody gives a shit that he's fucking whores or cheated on his wife. she was ok with it too until it turned out he did it like 20 times and it was too embarrassing. it's not like she would give up those genes just because he cheated.
