IMDB's plot synopsis:

In the remote woods of upstate New York, the Poe Family lives a Norman Rockwell life. Perfect house. Perfect marriage. If only the children stopped stapling frogs to trees.

i laughed so hard when i read that the first time. haven't seen it yet, but ti looks scary. is there anything that happens on screen that is supposed to be so shocking its funny?

Absolutely not. No, there really isn't.

They came pretty close with the ending, though.
