Rocky gets board shorts? Such rebels?! I think glee at least went with hot pants. Perhaps they should have tried a completely different direction instead sanitizing the speedo.

However, I will say the Science Fiction opening is a creative improvement from the movie, even if it comes across a bit stagy.

Rocky in boardshorts really speaks to the high degree this'll be watered down. What the heck is the paranoia about showing Rocky in a speedo?

We did this play in high school and the guy playing Rocky wore only a speedo!
