Oh......dear

I actually forgot it was on tonight until I was flipping through the cable guide. I said ok fine I will make a valiant attempt to what it is like. I came in right before the Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch-Me song.

I feel like I am watching a high school production of the show. It is really awful. The guy playing Brad is the only thing someone good enough to remind me of Barry Bostwick's performance.

It is too stylized, too polished, to trying to be pretty, and visually perfect. It looks painfully wrong. Even the music is beyond lackluster as it does not have much of any catch to it. The singing is quite bad.

Sorry Laverne Cox is not Tim Curry and never will be. This is just all too pretty looking. It doesn't look raw, it doesn't look imperfect.

That is one of the reasons I do love the original, sorry not seen a stage show, but yes to the 1975 movie. It didn't try to be perfect, or pretty, or visually stunning like something you would see in a fashion show during fashion week. It just was. It didn't try, it just was. Everything just fit completely together.

Seriously Hollywood STOP WITH THE REMAKES already. Ugh.

((Damn the remakes, Save the originals.))
