I actually had fun with it
That ain't no crime. I feel like some people are only bashing on it because it isn't like the 1975 film version. But the truth is, the 1975 film version isn't like the original stage play either. So who cares? The whole point of Rocky Horror is the actors dressed as these characters having fun and sharing that fun with the audience. My only problem with this version, is the fact that it tries too hard to follow the 1975 film version. I wish it paid tribute to the original stage play version as well. But the only elements of the stage play version they used are the opening scene with Trixie singing the opening song, audience participation (which they don't take fully advantage of), and using the song Superheroes at the end. Other than that, it's as if the director has yet to see any of the stage plays of The Rocky Horror Show.
