Well....

So Frank, Rocky and Brad and Janet were all right I guess, but the rest of the cast seemed like they couldn't be bothered to give a s*** about doing this. Especially the one playing Columbia, she was just abysmal. Frankly (pun semi-intended), this was an abortion of a movie. Even Tim Curry for the most part seemed robotic in his reading of the lines.

Well, Tim Curry is 70 and recovering from a stroke, but yes, the rest have no excuses for this travesty.

He had a friggen stroke. I'd love to see you try!
It's not bad at all, it's a different telling of the same story.

I didn't mind the film after a certain point. I started having fun. But I do agree about Columbia. Was she actually trying to play a role seriously in this movie? Definitely the worst part for me, especially seeing as she was my favorite character in the original.

I thought the Columbia character was fantastic; it was the Magenta role that was so poorly portrayed. Even worse, she refused to slide down the banister. As Magenta, she was a poor chartreuse!!!

reply

I'm not blaming Tim. The rest should have known better. And why did it seem like doing a speed run of the play? I didn't need to see it at a chipmunk pace.
