It wasn't THAT bad!

If you are referring to the girl singing the opening then I agree that scene went on entirely too long.

Yes. That too.

I thought it was slow, and long but didn't think it was nausea inducing. I don't think fans are giving this version a chance.

reply

Yeah, this is one of the worst one ever seen. I had such high hopes, too.
What's with all the stupid exaggerated accents?! So bad.

Me too. I appreciate the effort to change the beginning to something more...interesting..but I like the original because it added to the mystery. There was no mystery here..I didn't need to see up this dancer's play on Madonna playing on the 70s.

I got to Dr. Frankinfurter and changed the channel. That did it for me. I get they needed a difference but her Grace Jones impression was less than spectacular.

Personally, I thought the opening version of "Science Fiction" was one of the best things about the movie. It started off looking like the film might actually have an identity of its own, but it all went downhill from there.

I loved the staging but the singer had the sex appeal of a used q-tip.

reply

Well, it was annoying, but not THAT bad.

If you go to a stage showing or a Live Shadowcast of this movie, you will have to sit through the same thing, too.

In my case, I had the unfortunate experience of having to watch my cousin-in-law STRIP to music to introduce us to the movie instead of just acting like an usherette like in this.
