Frank's hair is hideous, she looks horrible

im not sure why they couldnt give frank a better haircut closer to the original movie.
or at least something better.

Laverne looks horrible with the hairdo they gave her, wtf were they thinking?

reply

Well all of the on-stage Franks often have different 'dos, even Tim Curry started off as a blond! Sometimes it's longer or straighter or a punk cut, etc. But what they've done here is inexplicably made Frank a woman and basically taken a trans woman and made her look like a glamorous drag queen. It flies against the basic interpretation of Frank to begin with. There's no cheapness or tackiness that is part of the essential spirit of the show. Again, which should star a man in the title role since that narrative drives the entire concept of the story.

reply

okay I understand that stage productions have different hair for Frank but the one they picked for this project is just so awful.

reminds me of jimmy neutron

Cox looks horrible in the trailer. This is going to do her no favors in her career. Yes, the hair is awful and so is her makeup.

reply

i think she looks sexy as hell. can't wait.

reply

sexy is not the same as having a hideous wig

reply

yeah, repeating your original statement truly counts as brilliant arguing, especially when it's completely subjective on both sides.

reply

it is really hideous hair. such a terrible wig

reply

are you sure?

reply

She even sounds like a man when she is supposed to be transgender her character as well as her in real life. The moves she makes were so hilarious it was so bad. What a joke lmao. Not even really a fan of rocky horror but this looks like utter trash lmao. Fail. I almost puked. At least tim curry looked weird and different as the character. That was the point

reply

Rocky Horror was never meant to have high production values. It's all about the cast dressed as characters and audience having fun.

reply

I would think something with a budget of $20M as this did would be expected to have somewhat high production values.

It isn't supposed to look like they went to a cheap halloween store either

It isn't supposed to look like a High School production either.

in the original movie they looked and dressed like real people. they felt like real people (As crazy and over the top the movie was)

in this one they DO look like they are wearing cheap halloween costumes they got at the mall. they look like they got wigs that cost 5 dollars to buy at walmart.....

what the hell?

P.U. Laverne should go on RuPaul's Drag Race. Nothing unique, I saw Tina Turner, Ann Margaret, Grace Jones, Nikki, Josephine Baker & Norma Desmond look-alikes. Recorded this last night (glad I went to party & not stay home to watch this). Watched this after work - even made popcorn & was fast forwarding looking for some kind of up note or redemption.
What the hell was Ben Vereen thinking?
