So it's Ghostbusters 2016 of TV movies?

That's what you guys are making it sound like. As a huge fan of both movies Ghostbusters and Rocky Horror to this day I'm still surprised they remade both movies. I couldn't watch this last night,by the clips I saw didn't look awful just not all that great. It's missing the energy of the original. Also the songs didn't sound too bad. I had a real problem with Timewarp and Creature of the Night aka toucha toucha touch me mainly because of how they are sung. Everything else sounded ok. So my question is does Ghostbusters 2016 make this look like a masterpiece compared to that or the other way around?

I liked the remake of Ghostbuster 2016 more than the remake of Rocky Horror.

The main difference between the two is that Ghostbusters 2016 was more inspired by the original 1984 film and did something different with it, just following the major plot beats of that film.

The Rocky Horror remake was more of a shot by shot remake, like the remake of Psycho, although they did slightly change the musical numbers, but that was not enough to make an impression.

I didn't think it was possible to make something worse than Ghostbusters 2016, but this abortion managed to do it. It's possible to work your way to the end of the Ghostbusters remake, but I found it impossible to watch this, even using the fast forward button.

What were they thinking is beyond me, hopefully this will be the death blow for agenda driven "entertainment."

I liked Ghostbusters 2016. RHPS 2016 though was awful.

the remake of Ghostbusters is BETTER (or not as bad) as this for one simple reason

They Actually had good style and very good production value. the sets dont look cheap. the costumes look real. sound design is better.

the movie looks great, it is just the plot and the jokes that suck.

this on the other hand is cheap looking and pg tamed for kids and sanitized
