Opening credits were my favorite part! (I'm serious.)

I didn't hate the remake -- it was OK.

But I loved Ivy Levan (the usherette) in the opening song. She was sexy, charming, a good singer and even oddly inspiring. Just wonderful!

I don't remember seeing her before but I hope she gets more jobs from this performance.

I agree. I also loved how they used film posters to reference the movies in the film. It was a visual cue for a younger audience who might not catch what she's singing about.
