How about they redo this with a real singer as Frank? I know those are some mighty big fishnets to fill, there will only be one Tim Curry. This is another disappointing attempt to film a musical by not casting singers in key rolls. The first got Brad, Janet, and the monster wrong, especially Janet. There are some great singers in this movie, unfortunately not the most important character. I suppose many people who love it are comparing this to the first movie instead of the stage productions. There will probably come a time when it's done without any music. It's already been so distorted by changing Frank's sex it barely makes sense. Oh well, at least the different performances are available on YouTube. I did like the band and some vocals were better than in the first, but not enough to compensate for Frank. It's difficult to understand what she's saying between her clenched teeth and exaggerated facial expressions.
