The largest irony being...

They made Frank a woman and changed his pronouns in the more PC modern version and stripped his status as a transvestite gay man.

Because HE is a sweet transvestite from Transexual (the planet) Transylvania (the galaxy). He is not a transexual.

I know the actor portaying the new Frank is transgender but come on.

Thank you!!!!

I would have loved to see Adam Lambert play the part.

If my answers frighten you then you should cease asking scary questions.

The thing I don't get is that Laverne says "I'm Just a Sweet Transvestite" and "I'm Not Much of A Man" when singing and then near the end, when they're going to kill Frankenfurter, they use SHE pronouns. It's like, uh, what??? So, which is it? Are we supposed to pretend she's playing a transvestite with boobs or a transgender. I know she's transgender and different from a transvestite, but this little mess up just irritated me.

To be fair If you are a woman than you still wouldn't be much of a man and you don't have to be a man to be one hell of a lover. It's still a weird thing to announce but, well, crazy people exist.

I had a slight niggle with that too. Although they tried to make up with the rainbow flag iconography all over the place, but still...

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed the flags all over. I was iffy on them needing to even include those, honestly. RHPS did just fine originally without the flags, so this totally could have gone just fine, too, especially considering some of the people they cast.

reply

The Rainbow flag just seemed like an empty attempt at gay inclusion since the stripped the show of nearly all the actual gay content.
