When Hicks called to tell him about Kate and the cops and Sidney leaving and Jill being gone, he should've realized then to check Kirby's, it's most logical place to check.

Not to mention, how did Sidney know where Kirby's was?

The murderers in all of these movies should've been unmasked a lot sooner than final few scenes. This franchise wouldn't have made it beyond one film, had any of the protagonists possessed an ounce of sense
