Dewey...
Did it bother anyone else that Dewey wasn't limping in this one like he did in part 2 & 3?

shareNo. It did not bother me.
What did bother me was Courteney Cox / Monica Geller Bing / Gale Riley's face!
The lack of limping didn't bother me so much because physio could help there but the change in his voice did. He spoke completely differently from the first 3 movies. I didn't notice the first time I watched the movie as it had been ages since I'd seen the first 3 but over this past weekend I had myself a Scream-athon and I watched them all back to back and it was really weird going from 3 where Dewey sounds exactly like he did in 1 and 2 into Scream 4 where he sounds totally different.
I'm going with the fact that perhaps they wanted to play him as more confident now that it's 10 years later and he's a sheriff but if that's the case they definitely went over-board on it. He sounded nothing like the first 3 and realistically any change in your voice wouldn't be so extreme (IMO). It kinda bugged me because it took me out of his scenes.
No. I'm very glad he recovered from his stab wounds. Because I always thought he would not stand a chance of survival in Scream 3 after the first two. I always said to myself if he gets stabbed again it is going to be very deadly for him. I guess Randy and Cotton deaths saved him from biting the bullet.
