Maybe Sidney wasn't going to be in Scream 5.....

Just out of boredom I was daydreaming about the never-to-be Scream 5 and 6 that were originally planned.

Now in the original script we all know the ending was Jill being rushed off to the ambulance outside Kirby'a house when suddenly a Woodsboro Officer comes calling out that someone, a female, is still alive. End of. Cliffhanger leading straight into S5.

Now everyone of course instantly presumed this ambiguous female survivor was Sidney (and it probably was intended to be) BUT what if it wasn't...

What if the female survivor was Kirby? Her death always seemed a bit mysterious. To this day I don't think any of us can really 100% be sure if she bled to death or not we just use the fact there hasn't been a Scream 5 to cement her death in Scream history.

Remember Kirby never knew Jill was the killer. She just saw Charlie and once recovered she would have no reason to doubt Jill's story that Trevor was the second killer.

So the fifth film could've originally been about Kirby, Dewey and Gale slowly figuring out that Jill was the Woodsboro 2.0 killer while (I'm guessing) a whole new set of murders were happening around them.

Nothing that happened in the hospital after Kirby's house was in the original script so that scene wouldn't have existed.

Umm....what ending are you morons talkin about?? I just saw it on tv, and it ended with SYDNEY being alive. And Dewey is talking to Jill by her hospital bed, and tells her Sydney's still alive. Then he goes to Courtney cox's room, and while talking they realize something she said to Dewey, is something only the killer should have known. So he runs to Sydney's room (which apparently takes forever). Meanwhile, Jill finds Sydney's room, and they have a ridiculous fight scene, that should have killed Sydney, with her serious wounds. Then Dewey comes in, and gets whacked by Jill with a bed time like 3 times. Then Courtney cox comes in. And Jill is pointing dewey's gun at her, when the blonde deputy dives from the doorway, and knocks Courtney out of the way. Then Jill threatens to shoot the unconscious Dewey if she doesn't give up her gun. So she does. And predictably, Jill shoots her. Then Jill orders Courtney to stand. And is about to shoot her, when Sydney sneaks up behind Jill, and shocks her head with the shocking paddles. Then Dewey wakes up, and him and Courtney and Sydney talk, while Jill comes up behind her, and Sydney turns around and shoots her dead. Then the blonde cop gets up, and is uninjured, due to her vest. Then they show all the reporters outside the hospital, talking about Jill. Giving her the fame she always wanted. All in all, DUMB AS HELL! ;-)

They're not talking about the final film. They're talking about the original script, which ends outside the house, with a cliffhanger ending as to whether or not anyone besides Jill is alive. The original script did not include the hospital scene.
