I know Big Nick is a arrogant as hell... But would he really eat a doughnut from a blood stained box and potentially contaminate a crime scene? Imagine Vincent Hanna doing that in 'Heat'?!

It's just one of those cliche scenes, like the cigar-chomping Detective tapping ashes all over an active killing site...looks badass in a movie but you'd rightfully be fired for that behavior
