..of a film where everyone puts in really solid performances with a really bad script. I thought it felt like it way trying way too hard to be a Guy Ritchie film with some of the dialogue and quirky characters. Everyone was decent, I thought Aaron Taylor-Johnson stole the show, but yeah. Mostly good performances with a bad script.

I noticed it was based on some book. Usually, those make decent stories because they are all planned and thought out.

That's how I felt too watching it. It was frustrating because the cast and characters were so good but the movie just didn't work.
