It Was an Entertaining Popcorn Flick
People need to lighten up. Not every movie is trying to send some cultural message to get offended about. This movie was an entertaining adrenaline rush. The opening tragedy was dramatic and compelling. The movie had quirky characters like the original, good special effects, and a plot with good tempo. I liked how the antagonist was given a motive for his supposedly discrediting conduct that turned out to have redeeming qualities. I liked how they used some lighthearted breaks (like the truck careening into the flying chicken coop) to keep the script from taking itself too seriously.
