Oklahoma is apparently a dangerous place.

I just finished watching this and I couldn't stop laughing at how many tornadoes Oklahoma got in the span of a week. No one had to wait around for a tornado longer than half a day.

I don't remember any tornados in Oklahoma, just a bunch of people prancing about all singing Rodgers and Hammerstein.

reply

The same thing happened in Chicago. Just a bunch of singing and dancing.

I live in Oklahoma and yes, F5 tornadoes are basically weekly occurrences, and the F1 and F2s are by the hour. Most of us live under ground. That's why our education is so poor here, we can't go outside to go to school! On the plus side, F1s are basically like light rain to us, and one of the few things do to here is to go drive through tornadoes with our big trucks. Fun times. Beats going to school!

I appreciate the sarcasm.

Ironically I actually do live in Oklahoma, have since 2020, and have seen a whopping ZERO twisters. I've talked to people who've lived here for 50 years and have seen only one, they're still rare even here. Though to be fair I have definitely been caught in extreme rain storms that spawned tornadoes, I just wasn't where the funnel was and the funnel itself basically lasted 2 minutes and caused no damage. Even a lot of the people who lived through Moore 2013 didn't see the F5 because of how bad the weather was. Most of them hit rural areas and 90% of the state population lives in either OKC or Tulsa.

You must have got a kick of the absurdity of of the amount of tornadoes in this movie.

reply

I get a kick out of how many main characters had red Dodge Rams in both movies.

I can only imagine what Homeowners Insurance cost if you live in Oklahoma

reply

That's assuming the headquarters for the collectors of the Homeowner's insurance hasn't been destroyed.
