This was a $50M picture at most + another 50 for marketing. Amblin Entertainment & The Kennedy/Marshall Company is fucking everyone over and not paying the backend deals. This is Steven Spielberg in a nutshell.

( The backend deal grants actors the option to take a smaller amount of money upfront and in exchange secure a percentage of the movie's total gross)

Net profits are at $ 155 M worldwide now give or take after its theatrical run.
After taxes its nothing left for the cast & crew.

$55m is really low. It was probably $120m to $140, but COVID delays and the writer's strike caused the budget to balloon to $200m. This is why Indiana Jones 5 cost $300m and why Killers of the Flower Moon cost $200m.
