okay so they had to test these guys to see who can answer the odd question...
Why does the simple answer of "no" get you hired? What does this prove, and suggest to the employer that they are the perfect candidate?
Frankly, why did they test them in the first place, what did they want to find out from these guys apart from having a bit of fun?
Although I didn't care for the movie I can't tell if it's a stab at the stupid tech company hiring processes or not. Take a look at some of the questions google asks employees to answer.
Like if you were the size of a nickel in a blender how would you get out?
Companies like that make so much money by sheer luck they think it's because of their ridiculous hiring process but it's just finding patterns where they don't exist so they continue doing it.
