What MAKES these guys rich is people willing to pay for porn subscriptions, via any means possible, even mailimg in payments.
Credit cards as age verification is a nice concept but not realistic. Any minor with (unauthorized or otherwise) access to a credit card can and will sign up. Today lots of minors have credit/debit cards in their name.
As age verification, each adult site must have the "I'm at least 18" user agreement to click, which is of course also a joke. =) With freedom of speech there is no way to police the internet.
Accepting payments via the internet was ground-breaking and it was porn that got the ball rolling. That is what the movie is about.
