What is everyone talking about epassporte, and the producer owing money? I keep reading about it all over the boards here but nobody really explains it. Just that the producers of this movie spent a lot of money, and didn't pay it back, and how is it unwillingly spent on this movie?! Some real answers please this is crazy.

epassport was an internet billing company, basically chris mallick (the producer, whom luke wilsons character was loosely based on) ran epassport. then, epassport shut down, while people hadn't been paid the money from their accounts.
no one from epassport is talking to the people who want their money.
it looks a lot like this film was used to launder that money into other mallick owned companies.
most of the people are posting here, since it is a highly visible place to get heard about this controversy.
