Hit Girl is a murdering piece of garbage!

She is NOT a hero. I don't care how "tragic" her backstory is. She had an abusive father, which probably helped drive her further insane, but when it all comes together, he was a nutcase and so is she. I have no sympathy for a vicious, violent criminal who calls herself a hero. Everybody who admires this character is sick, and a big reason I HATE Chloe Moretz is for her portrayal of this little cockroach!

I'm TOTALLY serious. Those movies are TERRIBLE!!!

But she's a little extreme, I think. Batman doesn't go around murdering his enemies, so I don't see why she does.
Besides, it bothers me to see someone so young to be doing that sort of thing. I know it's what her backstory entails, but still.

The Punisher also murders his enemies, but I don't see you complaining about that.

I don't approve much of The Punisher either, but the only difference is that the Punisher is an ADULT.

Hit Girl is not killing people at random. She is avenging her mother's death. The idea that she is not permitted to fight back in your mind just because she is twelve, is frankly, sick. I guess if Hit Girl were getting raped your advice would be to just lay back and enjoy it, right?

Fight back vs. Kill. There's a difference. Batman doesn't kill his enemies, he just beats them senseless and lets the police handle them. I'm all for someone fighting back when they're being attacked, but I do NOT condone murder! Hit Girl's actions make her no better than the criminals she defeats, with the small difference being she's fighting for the good side. But the methods are exactly the same.

A movie that received more attention than it should have, and for that matter, should never have been made, and based on a comic series that never should've been published because the author is screwed up in the head. Mark Millar is worse than Frank Miller. And the fact that this Hit Girl has such a big fanbase just proves how sick so many people are.

Yes. Maybe she did it...TOO well.

Hell no, I respect David Prowse and James Earl Jones. Mainly because their characters vary from film to film and don't always play the same type of person.

If you meant Alderaan, it was entirely Governor Tarkin's plan. Though, maybe in the EU at some point, maybe Vader did destroy a world named Eldoron. Who knows.

You're way too analytical to appreciate a movie like this. It's basically a comic book.
Don't you get the absurdity of a cute little girl who is actually a foul mouthed Ninja- like assassin? That's the gag. I loved Chloe Grace in this role. I don't think they were shooting for an Oscar when they made this movie.

I like Hit Girl, but I have to agree that if there is any sort of reward and punishment in any hypothetical afterlfe Mindy Macready better hope that crimes committed in childhood don't count. Otherwise she is in big trouble even if she never does anything else wrong for the rest of her life.

By the way the TV Tropes section on Kick Ass contains the suggestion that the MacCreadys finance their weapons by robbing the criminals they kill and selling the drugs they confiscate from their victims. Thus like Dexter they prey on the predators and can be considered either vigilantes or super criminals.

In any case, I like Hit Girl but I don't approve of everything she does and think that some of her deeds are quite evil.
