Yet the movie sucks? How on earth can a cameron crowe film with this many good actors and Bill frickin Murray be a bad film?? Someone tell me..I am about to rent it as I missed it in theaters. Am I heading for disappointment or is it just PC anger due to white actors playing chinese characters?
shareWell first off, the movie doesn't "suck". That is an expression sometimes written by nitwits who aren't intelligent enough to actually write a short but coherent explanation of why the movie didn't resonate with him/her.
While few would consider it a superior movie it is well made and has some interesting elements. My wife and I watched it and enjoyed it.

Repetitive, because I just pointed this out in another thread, but check out the Trivia section for the hacked email from the studio co-chair. She's beating herself up for approving a movie based on good director/actors even though she knew the story was poor in the first place. (Then she notes that at least there's enough gloss for the marketing department to make it look decent, so that explains the trailer you liked.)
I want to give her a medal for that email because I don't think anyone else in Hollywood has had that particular revelation. Let's have lots more Superhero movies! [/s]
