Owen/Daddy/Dealership = boring

I think I have been completely sapped of interest regarding the car dealership saga, including "Daddy" showing up and he and Owen having dramatic showdowns. Over and over. Fortunately, it was on the DVR and I fast-forwarded through most of the dealership schtick except for the conversation about "Daddy's" plan for what he wants to do with it, and the scene with daddy and Owen towards the end. I really like this show, and enjoyed every other part of it. I am wondering if casual viewers changed channels during the car dealership part. I mean, who's interested in what car salesmen are doing? Not me. I worry that it will affect viewership and the show being renewed.

Allow me to bitch about the bitchers. The father/son business element of the show is-second only to the friendship of the male trio--the glue. And apart from the classic "Sanford and Son," when's the last show that dwelt on a black American father/son business legacy and conflict that wasn't a junkyard? Get a grip If you want realistic, mature, urbane drama, what's more relevant than a family business? Maybe a family hospital? A zombie family?

Well said TV eyes. I think the whole dynamic between father and son is very realistic, and Owen's dilemma is extremely interesting. Andre Braugher is a believable and wonderful actor.
