Seriously Why Was It Canceled?

I was so disappointed when TNT canceled MOACA which was such a great
show to watch. And enjoyed the chemistry between the three leads.
Andre Braugher is one of my favorite actors I so looked forward
to seeing this show on Mondays. So was it canceled due to low
ratings? TNT claims to know drama and yet decided to cancel one
of the best dramatic shows on basic cable. Too bad and I miss
this show!

yes it was the ratings, which from what i remember were actually increasing in season 2 but then they split it in the middle, and the 2nd part got considerably lower ratings and led to the cancelation.
i was sad to hear about it too, i was also enjoying the show very much.
there was also talk about shopping the show to a different network but it doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon...

it probably won't happen not because it's been too long (other shows were revived after longer periods of time) but more because it's not popular enough...

Steve Koonin would have to answer your question. He was behind the cancellation.

reply

Well thanks Stanley for your answer. Did a bing search on Steve Koonin
since I had no idea of who he is and he's the executive in charge of
programming, marketing, scheduling and strategy among other factors
at TNT, TBS, TCM & TrueTV. Now even though he holds this high
ranking position working for Ted Turner well in my opinion that
doesn't make him an expert in what viewers like and don't like to
watch on basic cable! These so called industry experts often make
the wrong kinds of programming decisions which just anger people
like me!

You're very welcome. Both seasons have been released on DVD, and are available at Amazon.

Okay and very nice to know and now I can plan on buying
those seasons to own.
