And boy was it the usual let down. Why bother making adaptations that'll just ruin the franchises name in question? These movies tend to appeal to the hardcore fans and fans in general and not the diverse melodrama audience it was trying to impress.

They appeal us. They disappoint us. Anime live action always are a let down

actually this one was clearly aimed at mainstream audiences unfamiliar with the originals series.

it was a solid US bubblegum version, i liked it. to be fair though, i am no fan of the original(s) at all.
