You younger people might not get this joke,
I nearly fell of my chair laughing when I saw the Fish Finger and Pea Banquet,
Fish Fingers, Peas,and Instant Mashed Potato's was a staple Meal for us in the 1970's our Parents had died and my Older Sister would cook this Meal more night's that I care to remember.
Guess We where not the only one's that had that experience
I learned to be a good cook from that time,
I laughed at this scene. Although fish fingers, mash and peas is still one of my favourites.
Sometime I like to mix it up and have fish fingers, chips and beans.
Its a wedding joke. You really know when a wedding is bad when they have fish sticks on the buffet table.
shareIt's more like a bachelor joke. It's such a typical food for young, single guys that can't really cook - it's quick and simple food. Heck, I ate this kind of food when I was a young guy.... oh, and ironically, tonight, there will also be fishfingers served :-D - but without peas and mashed potatoes...
